Become Familiar with God's Voice

Knowing your Father’s voice is an important part of walking with Him. God speaks through the Bible, which is the Inspired Word of God. the Bible is an amazing resource, tool, and connection to God that we should not take for granted. God can (and does!) offer instruction and insight for your life through it! Let the Lord speak to you about your life and circumstances through the Word.

Know & Experience God's Heart

God wants to take care of us by showing us His heart. One important way that He can do (and does!) this is through His Word. God breathes life into us through it! Through learning God’s heart by reading the Bible, we can have hope in Him, His character, and His promises to His people.

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might have hope.”

By abiding in the Word of God, we have access to Him as a Father and Friend. We will know Him and the fruits of His Spirit by experiencing Him.

Be Renewed Through
Conviction & Correction

When we spend time in the Word with God, we will be convicted of what is keeping us from deeper connection with Him (what we are doing wrong). However, conviction is just the first step to drawing closer to God. When we are convicted, we have to choose to allow ourselves to be corrected and renewed.

“With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Psalm 119:10-11
